The One Where I Recap July 2014

Meme/Miscellaneous Posts:

Reviews:

Books read this month:
Threats of Sky and Sea by Jennifer Ellision
The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen
The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas

Currently reading: Throne of Glass (reread) by Sarah J. Maas

1. I'm done with work! My 2 months of imprisonment FINALLY are over!!! Okay, maybe likening it to prison is a bit harsh. It actually wasn't awful. I really loved both of my jail mates (or coworkers if you want to be PC) and I worked for my brother so it was actually fun and easy going. Just mind numbingly boring. But, easy money. I'll miss it.

2. I'm heading up to my new apartment at school next weekend. Woohoo! I'm always sad to leave my family, but I am very excited to finally get out of the dorm and live on my own (well, with roommates). And decorating? Oh, so much fun! I've still got some shopping to do before heading up. All that hard-earned money (see above) going down the drain. For a good cause, of course.

3. School starts. Bleh. Actually, I'm really excited for some of my classes, and to see my friends of course, but homework (aka papers)? Not so much. I'm someone who can just listen to lectures or discussions and be okay. Weird, I know.

Plans for August:

Read.
Blog.
Enjoy life.

Go forth and read my friends!

March Wrap-Up

Welcome to the end of March! Hopefully now the sun will actually come out and we won't have any more freak snow storms sandwiched between 70 degree weather days. Honestly, the weather has been like a PMSing teenage girl as of late! Sunshine and blue skies are welcome here as far as I'm concerned.

Well, enough complaining about the weather I suppose (70 degrees this upcoming week!!). What's happened on the blog this past month? Well, not much. Actually, let's face it, basically nothing. And I apologize for that. I've been so bad at keeping up with my blog that I want to smack myself sometimes. I know I've said on here a couple time that I'm going to get back in gear and this time I mean it. I've got reviews set up and everything. But I'm also going into this no pressure. I don't want to feel the need to post something every. single. day. Let's be honest, if I did that, half the stuff would be stupid or boring because I only have so much creativity! I just promise to be more active. Posting hopefully 1 book review a week and some discussion or meme posts. Honestly, I just haven't been reading as much (I blame school) which is why this blogs been virtually nonexistent. But, I have another reason for getting my rear back in gear.....

New blog design!

Yup. A new blog design is coming to Oh, For the Love of Books thanks to the incredible Debz over at  Debz Bookshelf . I'm so excited!! Can't wait for y'all to see it :)

So, hopefully with this fresh start and summer coming up (which means time to read) I can actually get this thing started again. Thanks so much for everyone who has continued to follow my few random posts. It means a lot! And, without further ado, here are the post over the last couple months:

Life of a Blogger: Introvert or Extrovert - I like to consider myself an "extroverted introvert" - An introvert, who happens to have extroverted qualities (outgoing, personable, etc.).
Defy by Sara B. Larson - Got feels. Feels of annoyance.
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card - Wanted feels. Got no feels.

Afternoon readers! So, how bout this past month huh? Yeah....wasn't as good as I wanted it to be blogging wise, but that's okay. Always a new month to look forward to :) But here's a look back on the month of January -

My life: Started school back...yay? Love seeing friends, hate the work. Also, switched majors. Again. :P Also, any prayers for my grandpa would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I believe that's everything! I didn't review nearly as many books as I wanted. With moving and all, it's kind of slipped my mind. I read about 4 other books this month that I just never got around to reviewing. Hopefully I'll put those up next month. Also, I'm going to be reviewing the next 3 Twilight books as part of a Project Hindsight. Thanks for sticking around and I hope you continue to enjoy my blog :D
