Stacking the Shelves (8)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews as a way to share all the books we've received this week!

So.....I kinda went on a Netgalley shopping spree....

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2)
by Sarah J. Maas

AHHHHHHHH!!!!! YESSSSSSSS. I absolutely loved Throne of Glass and I have been eagerly anticipating this sequel (but not the cover). When I received the e-mail saying I obtained an ARC, I may have squealed like a little girl....no shame.

My Sparkling Misfortune (The Lakeland Knight #1)
by Laura Lond

A villain as the protagonist? Sign me up! This sounds like one awesome book full of fun mischief and misfortune ;)

Arrow of the Mist (Arrow of the Mist #1)
by Christina Mercer

First off, loving the cover. It accurately shows the questing and magic that the blurb promises. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one!

Sworn to Raise (Courtlight #1)
by Terah Edu

Court intrigue? Sold.

The Bane (The Eden Trilogy #1)
by Keary Taylor

Previously known as Eden, it's being redistributed as The Bane...cooler name and freakin badass cover. I've heard great things about this book and am looking forward to loads of action and bad-assery.

by Lesley Young

Sci-fi space academy adventure with "warring species"?
I'm game.

So, I believe that's all I got this week. What book goodies did y'all get this past week?

Stacking the Shelves (7)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews as a way to share all the books we've received this week!

Leviathan (Leviathan #1)
by Scott Westerfeld

So...I feel like I'm the last person in the world to read this book. Seriously, I've heard some fantastic things about it, I just never took the time because there were so many new books coming out. Well, it was at my library and I finally decided it was time. No more putting it off. Time to jump on this steam-punk filled bandwagon and dive into an alternate history. Best part is if I love it, I don't have to wait for the rest of the books to come out seeing as the trilogy is already published!

Something Strange and Deadly (Something Strange and Deadly #1)
by Susan Dennard

Zombies in 1876 Philadelphia?
I'm game.

So what have y'all been stacking the shelves with this week?
And check back for my review of the Eternity Cure on Monday.

Stacking the Shelves (6)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews as a way to share all the books we've received this week!

by Richelle Mead

Ok, so I was kind of excited about this one. The synopsis just sounded really cool and action-packed! Besides, I reluctantly liked her VA series, so I thought "what the heck". As long as it's got action, I'm game. But then I read reviews...
I'm terrified.
First off, I don't think this is Young Adult.
Second, I heard this book world was confusing.
Also, I heard the romance was cliche.
....Oh well. I bought the freaking thing and plan on reading it.
Here's to hoping for a kick-butt MC and lots of actions!

So what have y'all gotten this week?
Be sure to let me know!

Katya's World by Jonathan L. Howard

Source: Netgalley

"soon she will encounter pirates and war criminals, see death and tragedy at first hand, and realise that her world’s future lies on the narrowest of knife edges. For in the crushing depths lies a sleeping monster, an abomination of unknown origin, and when it wakes, it will seek out and kill every single person on the planet"

EPIC!!!

Ironskin (Ironskin #1) by Tina Connolly

OMG!!! I'm so excited XD This was my WoW a few weeks ago so you know I'm pretty psyched :) There's an iron mask, a fey curse, and "Ugly women, who enter his closed studio...and come out as beautiful as the fey. " A recipe for success!

Seven Wonders by Adam Christopher

Superheroes and super villains?
I'm hooked.

So what'd y'all get this week? Let me know in the comments below!

Stacking the Shelves (2)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews as a way to share all the books we've received this week!

For Review:

by Jay Kristoff

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Y'ALL HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS BOOK XD Well, I guess that caps kind of help you get an understanding but no words can really describe my excitement for it. Japanese steampunk? Griffins? THUNDER TIGER?! How can y'all not be excited!?!?! Only thing is, to be honest, I hate when I get hyped up because I'm afraid it won't live up to it so I'm trying to reign it in :P But I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

by J. Barton Mitchell

"freedom fighters, mutants, otherworldly artifacts, pirates, feuding alien armies"

I'm hooked.

Library:

by Heather Brewer

Yes, this is cover love 100%. Look at it! She's got a katana! And some crazy metal face veil...thingy. Sure, it's not exactly practical. I mean, if my enemy had a sword too, I'd like to know where somebody was trying to stick it but, ya know, it's the look that counts ;)

A Confusion of Princes
by Garth Nix

Just read the synopsis and tell me you aren't interested. Super human? Reborn? 10 Million Princes (which gives me plenty to  choose from)? While I've heard some mixed reviews, I can't pass it up.

Don't forget to check out my 6 month giveaway!

Bought:

Eon (Eon #1)
by Alison Goodman
That cover is the baddest of the bad-ass! Add in an awesome sounding plot and you've got me hooked! Besides, I'm a sucker for a goo "girl masquerading as a boy" storyline.

Nightshade (Nightshade #1)
by Andrea Cremer
I actually already read this and I did like it. However, I hated Shay. With a burning passion. I actually already reviewed this one but I deleted it because every time I go back I keep finding more stuff wrong with the book and I didn't feel that the review really got my feelings across. So look for a new review coming up soon!

Well, I think that's everything I got this week. There isn't a Barnes & Noble close to us so that prevents me from spending all my money on books. Which can be a good thing for a girl on a budget XD

So what'd y'all get this week? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
