Day 2 of ABEA

Welcome to Day 2 of Armchair BEA!
Don't know what this is? Click here for more info.

Today's post is about the best books I've read so far in 2012 and also a few books that I'm pretty darn excited for!

Here are the best books I've read so far this year:

By Marissa Meyer

Cyborg Cinderella....yeah, pure awesomeness! Seriously, this book was fantastic! Even though I saw the "big reveal" coming, there was so much more to this story that kept me interested! If you haven't read this, please do!

By Robin LaFevers

Assassin Nuns....need I say more?  Fine, I'll give you a little something more. Duval! Now if that doesn't convince you then it's a lost cause.

by Maria V. Snyder

Between a snarky kick-butt heroine, an engaging plot, non-stop action, fast pacing, hate turned love relationship, hot men, fan-freaking-tastic secondary characters, and a psychopath for a villain, this book is a must-read.

By Julie Kagawa

Dytopia + Vampires + Katanas = pure awesomeness!

by Caitlen Rubino-Bradway

What a fun MG adventure! Seriously, absolutely loved it! The MC has a great voice that was just a ton of fun to read! And the unique plot was equally fascinating. Readers young and old will enjoy this story!

By Sarah J. Maas

Okay, so this one hasn't come out yet but let me just tell y'all that it was fantastic. You know those books where you don't want it to end? You just want it to continue on forever and ever and be blissfully unaware of everything in this world except for the book? Yeah, that's definitely this book. The characters definitely made the book for me. Don't worry, the plot awesome too, but those characters! Their interactions were phenomenal! And Celaena's awesomely sassy attitude totally made me root for her.  I haven't yet put up my review at the publisher's request but let me just tell you it'll be gushing when it comes!

by Jennifer A. Nielsen

I also haven't put up my review for this one yet (coming this month!) but it's fantastic. If you read it for no other reason, read it for Sage. His voice instantly grips you. He's clever, witty and defiant with a bit of a smart-ass attitude on the side. Even though I kind of guessed something, I was never 100% sure about the plot or loyalties of the characters. Definitely a book worth reading!

Now to some books that I'm eagerly anticipating this years:

by Leigh Bardugo

OMG!!! THIS COMES OUT TODAY!!!!!! After this I'm totally heading to the store to buy it XD I read the first 5 chapters for free and o_O pure awesomeness! That Darkling is just oozing mysterious sexiness ;)

by C.J. Redwine

A sword-wielding, impulsive girl living in a dystopia with what can only be a tension filled romance? Sign me up!

by Morgan Rhodes (pseudonym?)

First off, that cover is about as legit as it gets. Seriously, who is the person on the cover?!?!
Secondly, the synopsis sounds awesome. Forbidden magic? Unrest? Betrayals, bargains and battles?!?!?!?!?! YES! Me want!!!
Ugh....why oh why does December have to be so far away?! I'm really hoping Netgalley will grant my wishes and put up a galley XD
*fingers crossed*

by Rachel Hartman

Dragons that can take on human form? Captain of the Guard? A Prince?! And a young girl with a reason to be afraid? Sign me up! I can't wait to immerse myself in this fantasy world! I actually got this one through Netgalley and I hope to start it soon!

by Jay Kristoff

Come on, you know you want to read it. Japanese steampunk? Griffins? THUNDER TIGER?! and a telepathic girl that also knows how to kick butt? And did I mention the griffin and Thunder Tiger?! (they're pretty legit!) And look at that cover!!! It's so badass! Can't wait! XD

by Tina Connolly

Iron masks? "Ugly women, who enter his closed studio...and come out as beautiful as the fey." Call me intrigued! ;)

by Diana Peterfreund

Doesn't this just sound amazing?!?! Dystopia? check. Secrets? check. Forbidden love? check.Heck YEAH!! And this Kai guy sounds incredibly intriguing ;)

By Miriam Forster

Tagline: The girl with no past, and no future, may be the only one who can save their lives.

I'm already hooked! Add in assassins, mysterious cats and a little forbidden romance and I'm totally psyched!

So these are only a mere few of the books that I'm looking forward to this year. There are so many more that I couldn't put em all on here if I tried! These are all new series that I'm excited for but there are so many sequels that I'm incredibly psyched for!

So what are y'alls favorite books this year? What are y'all eagerly anticipating?
