Waiting on Wednesday (7)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine in which we showcase upcoming releases we are anticipating.

Masque of the Red Death
by Bethany Griffin
Release Date: April 24, 2012

Goodreads Synopsis:
Everything is in ruins.

A devastating plague has decimated the population. And those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles to pieces around them.

So what does Araby Worth have to live for?

Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery make-up . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all.

But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club. And Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither boy is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does.

And Araby may find something not just to live for, but to fight for—no matter what it costs her.

Why I want to read it:

1. Its a dystopia
2. Its steampunk
3. Its got a victorian era style world-building
4. There is glittery make-up and beautiful dresses (the fashionista in me it coming out!)
5. Heard some pretty amazing things about it!
6. its got a dark, gothic feel to it

However, although I like this dark and twisted sounding dystopia, I'm not sure I'm looking forward to a love triangle. Also, I hope its not too heavily focused on the romance. Other than that, this sounds fascinating!

What are y'all waiting on this fine Wednesday? Be sure to leave a comment and let me know so that I can add even more books to my growing TBR!
